Nice to meet you. I’m Joel.

With over 8 years of UX experience across industries including sport, finance and healthcare, I specialise in turning complex problems into intuitive, user-centred experiences. From building products from the ground up to redesigning existing ones, I bring both strategic thinking and hands-on craft to every project.

In my previous role at Acacium Group, a leading healthcare delivery partner, I was an embedded UX expert across multiple brands, shaping websites and applications used by real users with complex needs. Navigating diverse stakeholders and varied product challenges meant I was involved from start to finish.

My foundation in Digital Media (2:1) gave me a strong theoretical grounding, but it’s the breadth of experience beyond study that sets me apart. As Design Team Leader for CSRfm, a Canterbury-based radio station, I led a team producing web and print assets while collaborating directly with senior staff at the University of Kent, sharpening my leadership, communication, and cross-functional working skills early in my career.

I’ve always found creativity hard to switch off. Outside of work, I’ve performed as a DJ alongside established artists such as So Solid Crew, allowing me to pursue my love of music.
